Proverbs 17:17 – A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
How true this has been, before the move, during the move, and even after moving 1,200 miles away from some of my dearest friends.
Sometimes we hate on social media and technology a little too much, but I’m forever grateful for the apps and devices that allow me to talk to, see, and continue doing life with friends across the country.
Moving is scary and being in a new city is both exciting and terrifying at the same time. So today, as I am spending my favourite day of the week with new friends in this new city, I wanted to share wisdom from my old friends in an old city. God isn’t letting them go from my life, and I’m not going to either. Their words weighed heavy on me, in the best possible way, and I needed you to hear them too:
“God knows what He’s doing. I believe that the abundance of the blessing corresponds with the abundance of the burden; there is something big on the other side of this for you.”
“All time is God’s timing. Be the steadfast and anchored Christian that you are and allow Him to work through you. He will provide.”
And if you need more of other people’s words to get you through the week, I’ve saved a lot right here:
Happy Sunday friends
